The surge in popularity of 360-degree feedback has taken place during a revival of interest in the role of personality in organizations. This session if for those who use both types of assessment tools together--especially in management develop. Topics include the complex, curvilinear relationship between managers’ personality characteristics and ratings of their performance; how the personality of raters interacts with rating format and degree of anonymity to effect rating accuracy; how interpersonal incompetence--the “dark side” of personality"--is related to performance problems, and research-based guidance on the responsible use of the MBTI alongside 360s.
