Craig, S.B. & Gustafson, S.B. (1998). Perceived leader integrity scale: An instrument for assessing employee perceptions of leader integrity. The Leadership Quarterly, 9, 127-145.
Despite the widely recognized role integrity plays in how followers respond to leaders, little empirical research has studied this phenomena. Part of the problem may be the lack of a sound measure of integrity. We describe the development of a measure of perceived integrity and report evidence attesting to it psychometric adequacy and pattern of relationships with theoretically relevant variables. The scale items are reprinted along with guidelines for using it in research.
