Based on the 1992 Center for Creative Leadership conference on executive selection, this report provides an evaluation of the state-of-the-art in research and practice on executive selection. A major theme is how to better capitalize on research in the practice of choosing senior leaders. Researchers are also alerted to strategies for building better bridges to practice in order to make their work more relevant to practitioners.
