Leadership Development Programs

We have a long history of running leadership development programs that make a difference, often a sizeable difference. The program can stand alone, or it can be a component of a larger program — for example, Tyco Electronics’ Leadership Development Program run in conjunction with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Intended audience: senior managers and high-potential managers.

Our custom-designed programs typically combine:

  1. Feedback-and-coaching, consisting of:
    1. The equivalent of LaserChange, our one-on-one feedback/coaching process, usually done by phone.
    2. Peer coaching, the purpose of which is to help and be helped. Preferably, each peer group is facilitated by the consultant who is working one-on-one with the members.
  2. Classroom activities, blending instruction and real-time exercises, that cover topics such as:
    1. Strategic thinking, using the “Blue Ocean” method
    2. “Inside the C-suite Mind,” which covers basic financials, market pressures, regulation & the global landscape
    3. Derailment — how to reduce the risk of it
    4. Personality — who you are is how you lead
    5. Executive persuasion
    6. Better balance on forceful & enabling leadership, and on strategic & operational leadership
  3. Mentoring. We train those managers chosen to be mentors, and we can assist the organization in setting up its network of mentors.
