Leadership Development Programs
We have a long history of running leadership development programs that make a difference, often a sizeable difference. The program can stand alone, or it can be a component of a larger program — for example, Tyco Electronics’ Leadership Development Program run in conjunction with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Intended audience: senior managers and high-potential managers.
Our custom-designed programs typically combine:
- Feedback-and-coaching, consisting of:
- The equivalent of LaserChange, our one-on-one feedback/coaching process, usually done by phone.
- Peer coaching, the purpose of which is to help and be helped. Preferably, each peer group is facilitated by the consultant who is working one-on-one with the members.
- Classroom activities, blending instruction and real-time exercises, that cover topics such as:
- Strategic thinking, using the “Blue Ocean” method
- “Inside the C-suite Mind,” which covers basic financials, market pressures, regulation & the global landscape
- Derailment — how to reduce the risk of it
- Personality — who you are is how you lead
- Executive persuasion
- Better balance on forceful & enabling leadership, and on strategic & operational leadership
- Mentoring. We train those managers chosen to be mentors, and we can assist the organization in setting up its network of mentors.
